Yes. Now which language? Possibly Kiswahili, it's the national or official language of four nations: Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Within much Africa, it is often used as a lingua franca.

Or if you want a challenge you should go for something with clicks like isiZulu or isiXhosa.

I'm currently dabbling in a little Swahili. IMO it's fairly easy for a native english speaker, and it's a very interesting language (noun classes, agglutinative etc.)
