I'm wondering how to say "If people keep saying things like that, I might actually start to believe it".

I've got:

「人々はそんなことを言って続けたら、私は本当に信じるにいたるかもしれません。」
および
「人々はそんなことを言いっぱなしだったら私は本当に信じるにいたるかもしれません。」

どっちの方がいいって決定できません。
むしろ両方が間違っている可能性もありますね。
だれか手助けをしてくれればうれしいです。
