Learning Mandarin

Anyone have any methods to suggest for learning Mandarin.
Not something I'd be able to practice one on one with someone everyday, but the odd day I could.

I have a some basic knowledge (i.e. counting, introductions, and farewells...very basic.)

Start with Michel Thomas, listen to the beginner course (and if you want the advanced and vocabulary), then get Assimil's Chinese course (either purchase it, or try and find it on torrent or something)

Move to China. It's what I did. It'll take a couple months before you're able to survive on your own. But it sure is fun.

Don't change these.
