Ok, I don't care what method it uses, how you do it, or how much it costs. For informational purposes I want the best resource available to learn a language. I don't care if it's Pimsleur vs Teach Yourself without the audio.
As I said, method is irrelevant, audio only, audio/text combo, interactive (lol Rosetta Stone), etc.
I have heard that Pimsleur is the best way to learn for conversational purposes, but lacks incredibly in explaining grammar/spelling conventions (obviously).
For text I've heard from a lot of people that the Assimil courses are very superior.
I hope to learn a lot of languages, and while I have used Rosetta Stone (mother of God, never again!), Pimsleur, Teach Yourself, and Berlitz, and while I have researched others, I want more opinions, because we all know that the best set of data is the largest and most consistent.
