What are the best methods to use?

If your native lang is English, stick with the Reading Latin - meh, dunno the links, but it's one with Aulularia where you see Eucliö fures timet over 9000 times.

If you speak Portuguese, Miguel Barbosa's Latim Clássico.

Other langs: dunno.

I'm a Classics major in college. If you're just going to be reading classical texts, Wheelock's Latin is your best bet. If you want to be able to write or "speak" it with some confidence, your best bet is the slower-paced "Lingua latina" by Hans Orberg. It's a book written entirely in Latin, and builds on itself gradually.
