Korean learning materials

If you got some good learning material, websites, methods to get your hands on Korean material, etc, that you've been using, feel free to share in this topic.

It would be nice to be able to watch more simpler korean shows with subtitles to get started (bonus if Korean+english subtitles)
Like, watching Doraemon in Korean would probably be a really great way to help. Dramas get pretty old and are like an hour an episode, a kids show or something anime-level would probably be better for learning. It seems almost impossible to get my hands on anything of this sort.

It's a shame their websites to download stuff are kind of complicated and it seems like they charge for their illegal shit which is BS

For Japanese learners/speakers:
If you know Japanese (if even the basics) you can smoke through Korean basics thanks to all the similarities
two good sites
http://www5d.biglobe.ne.jp/~ragna/gottani/basic/basic_top.htm
http://hangulforest.com/particle.htm
A lot of pronunciations can be linked to others too, like
영 → エイ
①영화    → 映画
②영국    → 英国
③영업    → 営業
④영원히    → 永遠に
⑤수영    → 水泳
etc

I've used pimsleur while driving, but I just tried FSI Korean.

rofl. That guys voice is so hard to take seriously. It's like a super annoying monotone voice with a thick English accent

it pisses me off that the only decent free resources for learning Korean are in Japanese. i guess it would help if i could read more than 300 of the 2000 for daily use kanji.

OP got anything more like this?

you mean more links or more like
영 → エイ
①영화    → 映画 ?
if the latter, you can find it in one of my links, http://hangulforest.com/wordmaster.htm
I don't really know too many resources myself though. Feel free to share, because I would like some links myself if anyone happens to have anything exceptional

There's like 40 episodes of inuyasha in Korean on veoh.
Yeah it might be gay but it beats dramas if you're at a low level and want simpler vocabulary.

I can't seem to find anything else that is simple though. Them Koreans really love their dramas

WeDisk appears to be the best P2P system for Koreans. You get really fast download speeds, and it has a ton of things on there. Only thing is it costs money. But it's really cheap. Like that InuYasha show is on there with 167 episodes dubbed in korean, 30 episodes costs 50 cents.

Seems ridiculous that pirating costs money in Korea but I don't know what else to say.

They do have ClubBox which is sometimes free but it's insanely slow and doesn't have 1/100th the material
Oh and keyword for Korean dubs, 우리말 더빙
You can easily just find English subtitles from Japanese subbers anywhere

Only problem with WeDisk (along with all Korean sites) is that they need your korean SSN. I used my gf's account to login. It seems like there's a korean id generator floating on the web though, I wonder if it still works

It's like they ran that shit through google translate

Name: Anonymous 2010-06-11 5:12

Isn't that korean shit just Japanese misspelled and mispronounced?

Name: Anonymous 2010-06-11 16:03

Don't you mean the other way around?
Japanese can't spell shit, that's why their words have fucking vowels at the end of syllable but ん. The grammar is essentially the same.

Don't change these.
