Help with Spanish

I'm a first year Spanish student and I'm currently writing an essay about people I know back where I live. How would I write the following sentence in Spanish: "We met (each other) at ______ ?"

I have "conocimos" down currently, but I know it's incorrect. Would it be "les conocimos"?

A good idea is to get a book with grammatical stuff like conjugations for regular and irregular verbs. If you can find a dictionary of English - Spanish and Spanish - English with one of these as a section, all the better.
