Good books for learning Japanese?

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-18 17:14

I'm finally deciding to learn Japanese. Just sit down and practice kanji and grammar every day. I already know hiragana and katakana.
Does anyone know any good books that I can use? Preferably in pdf, if people are kind enough to link me to them.

If you're willing to shell out some money; I've heard amazing things about TextFugu (but I cant give you personal opinions on it).
