Asian languages, you mean, Sino-Tibetan (Mandarin, Cantonese, Tibetan, etc.)?
They're far simpler than English, because they're isolating languages.
Japanese (isolated; disputedly Altaic; NOT Sino-Tibetan) has simpler phonology and phonotatics, but complex grammar.
There's no correlation between native lang vs. intelligence. Sapir-Whorf = fail.
In this case, has more to do with culture in general, not the lang.
