I keep running into what looks like -te form with る directly after it instead of いる.

Examples:

1. ポールを立てる

I get this one thanks to http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Japanese/Grammar/Transitivity
立てる is the transitive version of 立つ.

2. 今朝どこへ行ってた?

I have no idea what is going on here.
What is 行ってた?
Is it different from 行っていた?

3. マリア様がみてる

Even the translation seems to imply this is 見ている. An informal shortening?
