i am trying to get my greek better in preparation for a trip this coming fall

i want to surround myself in the language for a while before i venture off

what are some online fluent greek communities that i can hang out in?

also, if any greekfags want to talk greek over skype, let me know!

OP, are you learning Ancient Greek, Koine or Demokriti? They differ a lot, it's like calling Old Germanic, Saxon and modern English by the same name.

These greekfags here can only teach you Demokriti, that has no use except if you're going to Greece. I suggest you learn Koine instead.

Look now in Koine. Γαία (pronounced /gaja/). I'm not even talking about the writing (it does change too!), but pronounce.

Koine, for a today Greek speaker, is so alien and not-understandable as Archaic Latin would be to a today Italian or Spanish speaker.
