Do you think American Sign Language is legit? Does your area have a different sign system? Let's talk about it.

ASL defeats the entire purpose of observing silence (to avoid speech which might distract us from heavenly thoughts) by emulating all the features of spoken language. So no, it's not legit, and is entirely inappropriate for our monastery.

Nope! Because everyone in the world uses the American Sign Language. Duh.

the intent of the question was to start a discussion. obviously i'm aware of other signed languages

all i know is hungry and horny, though very similar, are in fact, very different.
