When things get too tough, the best thing to do is to give up.

When I start getting discouraged, I like to think about all that foreign pussy I'm missing out on. That's usually enough to keep me going and conquer any obstacle I meet.

This, sorta. Think of the reasons you wanted to learn the language in the first place, and that should be enough.

Every language I've made any amount of progress in (Gaelic, which I'm not fluent in, German and Finnish) I have pretty much done the same thing; I studied hard for a couple of months and then hit that brick wall you spoke about. In all three of those languages I then gave up for a month or two (6 months in Finnish). Then, however, when I came back to them I had obviously forgotten much of what I had learnt, but what I still remembered was then completely internalised and didn't feel strange. For example the different accusatives in Finnish, German word order and how verbs work in Gaelic. All those things were really troubling for me just before I stopped, but when I came back they seemed quite natural.
You'll forget 95% of your vocabulary if you do this though.
