Learning Russian vocab.

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-12 13:40

I've been learning Russian a small bit for awhile, but I've come to a problem-- vocab. Most of the e-books I have on the language incorporate some vocab, but it's either very odd or useless.

Does anyone have a good recourse for learning some Russian vocab? I'm hoping for something that starts me off on conversational / every day words, and then slowly goes into more specific areas.

Do you have any personal tips on learning vocab for a language as well? Thanks.

try this.
Well, russian vocab isn't very complicated, much easier than chinese, french and even english. The main difficulty is that words aren't pronounced the way they are written(unstressed vowel reduction).

That site is awesome.

OP I learned a lot of vocab just doing the lessons in the Princeton Russian course (do a google search, it's a free download and pretty awesome).

Don't change these.
