"pedo" is the imperative form of "ped", which means "to speak". Surely there must be at least one other person who's studied Sindarin a little?

I think I've flipped through A Gateway to Sindarin, if that counts.

I've actually never heard of that; I've only used Thorsten Renk's Sindarin Course, which is available for free on the web, and a set of dictionaries (also avaibable on the web) by Didier Willis; After looking up A Gateway to Sindarin on Amazon I see it's very expensive.

*sigh* Forgive me, for I do not know how to make italics on this board. I beg for you to enlighten me if you would.

I know a few words of Quenya, but that's it. I wasn't even aware that Sindarin had been expanded upon. What about the Black Speech and Dwarfish?

Well, it's been expanded upon, but every couple years one has to relearn a bunch of things when it's reconstructed differently from before because of some new texts that are released... And one still has to be creative with compound words to express many things since there's no usually designated word for the concept. Nor does it help that sources often contradict eachother, or at the other extreme, rules have to be made upon one or two examples and no more because there are no more!

I don't know about the Black Speech and Dwarfish, though I don't expect Black Speech to ever be usable since I recall Tolkien hated to have anything to do with it.
