An english language question for once (yeah it's a foreign language for me). Can somebody explain to me the use of "if" in the following sentence?

I'm satisfied with my life, if jaded.

I've seen this over and over again, always understood the meaning, but never could come up with a definitive rule.

"under the condition"

It means "although":
"I'm satisfied with my life, even if I am jaded."

Ubykh is not any related to Turkish. They're from very distinct language groups.

yeah its also dead. But given that its was predominantly spoken in Turkey id say the people who spoke it also spoke Turkish since they were a minority

I'm a native English speaker and I don't even know what the fuck it means.

Indeed, the last Ubykh, Tevfik Esenc spoke Turkish and Circassian fluently in addition to his native tongue.

I'm guessing that it's just a shortened version of "even if". Just use the same rules as that, or as "although" like >>3 pointed out.

Don't change these.
