2) Proximity to native speakers of a language does not make you magically learn their language. Some Brits and Americans spend decades living in Japan and never learn anything beyond kon'nichi-fucking-wa.
3) English speakers never try hard enough. Knowing English natively makes you a lazy fuck. All native English speakers I've met irl never mastered the local language even after living here for decades. Shitty accent, shitty vocab.
