I was inspired by the last thread so I've started my New Year's Resolution early and started learnan French. I know a couple of you want to learn/brush up on French as well (and other languages) so I'm going to share what I'm using. Since I can't have true immersion, am immersing myself in the language as much as I can.

Why French? Why not? Lots of materials available on the internets, it's spoken in many places around the world outside of France, there is a lot of great French music (inb4 MC Solaar) and a thriving film industry in France... and French women do their laundry in the nude. Pic related.

I think French would be a great language to build some confidence and springboard me into other languages.
