or any decent textbooks? good text books on any language are a rarity though

Also, -ik verbs aren't hard. You just have to learn the -ik as part of the verb, and then it's pretty straightforward to conjugate, since there's only 3 differences.

But even if you don't already know the verb, it seems to me that sometimes you can also infer when a verb is an -ik verb because of the syllables before it. Many -ik verbs end in -kedik, -zik, -kezik, -etik (-et makes a verb passive). I could be wrong, though.
