Japanese&Mandarin

I'm currently taking Japanese and considering taking up Mandarin. Has anyone else taken both languages at once? I'm wondering if it ever got to be too much or became confusing.

Both useful and grammatically easy languages but very different from each other. I recommend doing Japanese first, as i found that one was the hardest. Honestly it will probably be too hard learning both at once unless you have no life at all, and you're gifted in that department. In b4 some fag who calls me a pussy for not being able to learn 30 languages at once

Japanese and Chinese are like night and day. You probably won't have any problems.

What is it that makes Mandarin easier?

the grammar is closer to English. Once you get the tones everything else is simple (as far as learning an Asian language goes. Also with Chinese, learning all the letters is a lot easier than people make out. good luck

Pimsleur blows
There's really no need to add anything else to that sentence.

Is there anything like that, except for Japanese?
