Japanese&Mandarin

I'm currently taking Japanese and considering taking up Mandarin. Has anyone else taken both languages at once? I'm wondering if it ever got to be too much or became confusing.

Reporting for duty. I am nearly fluent in Japanese and will take Chinese in the fall. I have begun studying Chinese.
