Gentlemen,
I am going abroad for two months and a couple weeks and was wondering if that time would suffice to learn how to read/write a language (not speak)? I am going to Brazil and can already read/write/speak portuguese, however I would like to learn how to read/write in a new language while I am there as I will have a lot of free time from 0700-1500 weekdays.
Now I would like to express that my interest was lying in either Cyrillic or Sanskrit, but I am not sure if the time would suffice. I am not fond of learning Kanji/Pinyin to be quite honest. As you can see my interests lie in something less romanic.
Albeit if these alphabets are too complicated or require more time to learn than 2 months, maybe sticking to a roman language would be better, Spanish/Italian/French etc.?
Thank you for your attention and I await your feedback. Thank you.
