Why does everyone assume it's for him? Perhaps he learned it in school and he needs a good one for a friend in Hungary, hell he might even be a native English speaker who has Hungarian heritage and wants a good teach yourself English books for a Hungarian pal.

Well, he is right...

My Hungarian friend has been using English Grammar In Use since before I've known him. I now have it too, and it seems a decent enough book, but we both agree that it's no substitute for practising with a real native speaker.
