On June 8th, I will be part of a short-term exchange program, in which I will travel to Japan for two weeks, living with a Japanese family during that time. The trip itself is somewhat planned out, but for the first three-four days, I will be able to do anything (within reason) I want with them.
My questions:
1) Any suggestions on what I should do? (Going to Himeji if it helps)
2) Anything I should definitely get while there? (I will be going to a mall there)
3) Are there any useful phrases I could use with them?

If they have a daughter, molest her. Chances are low she'll tell on you, and even if she does, they'll thank you for honoring their traditions.
1) Bring your stuff to teach them things in your culture
2) Japanese yen bills. they are the finest printed material on the globe
3) ______ o kudasai. (Please give me ______.)
