you don't really leave out all the vowels, like hebrew some consonants can also have vowel values, however while the letter vav can either be o, u or v in arabic, it could be o, u, ü, ö or v in my language, not to mention this particular language being more vowel-rich
so maybe arabic script is fine for arabic, I don't know, but it's a waste of time for virtually everything else.
