sup /lang/. I'm currently double majoring in Mandarin Chinese and Italian. I've got the chance to spend my next year abroad, but I can't decide whether to spend a year in italy, a year in china, or a semester in each. I know it's a personal decision, but I just wonder if anyone's had any experience (postive/negative) in these countries that they'd care to share.
Also, cocks.

Circumstances in China depend solely on if you're white.

If yes, prepare to be assaulted by people. I went there with a German friend once, nobody paid attention to me, of course, but they pretty much swarmed her. She had barely functional Chinese and I ended up having to translate since most people were like, "Sorry can you repeat that? I can't really understand what you're saying." x 10000000000, so I'd say it was pretty embarrassing for her. Don't know if you actually want that kind of attention.

You'll probably also get random people talking to you in what sounds like English that's been passed through a blending machine. It's hard to not laugh. It really is. Especially when they attempt to use English "slang". Yeah.
