Questions to people learning Japanese

Name: Anonymous 2007-08-14 22:12 ID:RW/JC4ez

1. Who are you? (Age, sex, location and everything else you are willing to tell us)
2. Why are you learning Japanese.

I'm asking this because I want to know if the people who are trying (notice the word 'trying') to learn Japanese are just a bunch of weeaboo faggots, or if they have a more sane reason to do so.

I do (>>22 here), but in my experience, that alone is not enough to actually learn a language. A few years back, I picked up Hungarian for I thought it sounded very beautiful and had quite interesting grammatical features, but eventually gave it up within 6 months as I had almost nothing to listen to nor anybody to speak with outside class. Earlier than that, I'd tried to teach myself Norwegian for similar reasons and failed to make any progress.

I predict that you will drop out pretty quick. Since you're no weeaboo, you'll never need Japanese, will you? Why bother learn it then? That's what you will be asking yourself when you hit the first stumbling block.
