Questions to people learning Japanese

1. Who are you? (Age, sex, location and everything else you are willing to tell us)
2. Why are you learning Japanese.

I'm asking this because I want to know if the people who are trying (notice the word 'trying') to learn Japanese are just a bunch of weeaboo faggots, or if they have a more sane reason to do so.

OP here, I must say you win the thread so far. Everyone here just comes up with the lamest reasons to learn it, just as I expected. I'm hoping to become a physicist one day (sure, laugh at me all you want), so it might be usefull to me one day in therms of getting a better job (I heard you can earn more in the US or Japan then in Europe).
I don't really like Japan or it's culture more then any other country and I've never been there. I find it strange that so many people have this strange obsession with Japan while most of them haven't been to there nor met a Japanese person. I even know a guy who hopes to learn Japanese by watching every episode of Naruto 5 fucking times.
