Questions to people learning Japanese

1. Who are you? (Age, sex, location and everything else you are willing to tell us)
2. Why are you learning Japanese.

I'm asking this because I want to know if the people who are trying (notice the word 'trying') to learn Japanese are just a bunch of weeaboo faggots, or if they have a more sane reason to do so.

I don't agree with you. Some of these people went on to become anime translators as well, and I'm one of them. If you think we don't read grammar books like everyone else, you are wrong. Some of us do.

On the other hand, I am always pissed that people who claim that they are learning a language for jobs frequently restrict their knowledge to the textbook, and refuse to learn anything outside the classroom, or the "holy text" they have. As such their Japanese knowledge is always limited and their foundations are weak.
