Learning japanese?

Yeah, I'm just gonna come out and say it. I'm a huge weeaboo fag and I want to learn japanese for weeaboo reasons. Mostly just reading/listening because from what I understand, if I attempt to speak to a japanese person without 40 years of experience, they will shit on my head.

Is this feasible if my education would consist of three university courses and a lot of free time on the internet?

I'm not really a starter, I've passed JLPT2 and is attempting JLPT1. However, even if I pass it I'll still be in a "how quaint" stage(yeah, I know, damn) and I wonder whether I should continue.
