Language Issue: Statutory Rape

So, I was looking up statutory in french on wordreference when I learned that the french term for statutory rape is "détournement de mineure" -- literally "hijacking/embezzlement of a minor."  Is English uncommon in using the term rape in this situation?  It always seemed moderately fucked up to me.  Anyone know about other languages?

Another fun fact about french : when "voila" is mispelled "viola", it means "to rape" at a past tense.

"Détournement de mineur" is no longer used in French criminal law. The possible qualifications of sexual abuse on a minor are: "viol" (rape) in case of non-consensual penetration, "aggression sexuelle sur mineur" (sexual assault on a minor) in case of non-consensual sex without penetration, and "atteinte sexuelle sur mineur" (sexual attempt on a minor) in case of consensual intercourse with a minor below the age of consent (15).
