To start it off. When an animate object (iru) dies, is it considered inanimate(aru)?

What does it mean for a sentence to end in no?
Example (from Utsukishiki Ningen no Hibi by Sambomaster):
"Sore demo honto no koto wa sore demo wakaranai no"
