So how are you measuring it? Are you traveling all over America asking every language student? It's not hard to find the size of a language program at any university, and Japanese is tiny compared to others, especially Spanish, French and Latin. There are several million people in America learning those languages. There's barely a fraction of that studying Japanese, based on observations of class sizes and language book sales. Or does your world consist of your weeaboo friends on the internet?
