most efficient language

always wondered, what language do you multi lingual people think is the most efficient in speech or written?

excluding english

I loled at the guy that said that english is basically a french dialect..... the grammar (which is basically the structure of a language) has nothing to do with french.. some words came from french, yea, but it still very unrelated.

Im from brazil, we speak portuguese here (brazilian portuguese actually), and a considerable ammount of words in this language came from ARABIC!! same with spanish.. but both language are latin languages and they have nothing to do with arabic
