Japanese Grammer Questions

For those who want to understand and having trouble with some grammer post your question here.

here is my question:

In this sentence..

Ａさんは通訳の試験に受かった、私も来年その試験を受けるつもりだ。

why does this part use [試験に受かった] use に、and not を、im used to using を、i demand an explanation for this.
