I really want to learn Latin, but I don't have $4400 for the classes, plus I think I could do it by myself. Maybe I should whore myself out a bit.

Latin is an absolutely useless language to learn unless you become a doctor and even then it doesn't help too much. If you wanna use it as a stepping stone to other languages, don't waste 2-4 years learning latin when you could learn the other languages to begin with.

Nah, I want to learn it for the fun of it and for my own personal satisfaction. Naturally the reason I haven't exactly been falling over myself to learn it is because I don't expect to get much practical use out of it, and there several other languages I'd rather spend the time on.
