/g/ has been hit really bad this summer. It's getting to the point where 80% of threads are off topic trolling, basic tech support (easily solved by google) and questions that get answered 1000 times per day.
We had a mod a few weeks ago who starting banning loads of people for no reason and this week someone made a sticky for tech support, but other than that moderation has been almost non-existent.
Even yesterday there was a EU vs US thread that reached bump limit despite people reporting it from the start.
I'm not one to support mods as they usually ruin fun, but in /g/s case we need help badly.
