What were the older boards like?

I've been on 4chan since early 2008, so I've seen a few boards come and go, Fashion, Hardcore, and R9K to be the ones I remember specifically. Of course there were boards that got baleeted before that, like Loli and Furry, but what about others? /yg/ was apparently Yogurt, but what was it about? What were the first 5000-something posts on /fk/ about? When were these boards created and removed? In my 3 years of 4chan, it has only just occured to me that there are text boards, so I'm exploring them. Were there previous text boards?

It was just a page that had an old advert from 2003 for Danimals Yogurt, unfortunately, it didn't survive the major server transition (from zip/cgi/img/etc to boards.4chan.org), I'm guessing Mr VacBob cocked up on that while the servers were being revamped.
