Well done with the removal of /r9k/ and /new/

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-17 22:20

I approve of this decision because:

/new/ = /int/
/r9k/ = /adv/, /soc/

My suggestion for new boards:

/history/
/finance/

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-17 22:25

/fin/ - Finance
/hst/ - History
/op/ - Fag

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-17 22:25

My suggestion for next deletion: /jp/

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-17 22:29

I agree /new/ sucked but I did like discussing politics. Can we have a /pol/ - Politics?

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-17 22:48

/r9k/ at least served as a few inches elevated from the shitstink of /b/, and I could tolerate it.

I sure as hell am not going back to the sordid den of newfaggotry for "General conversation."

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-17 23:56

This. At first I thought it should stay as a crap catcher, but then I realized that's what /a/ is for. The weeaboos at /jp/ would just go to /a/, and that shithole couldn't get any worse.

God I hate weeaboos.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 0:22

I've encountered suggestions on both /b/ and /new/ for an /econ/ board. Could probably go under finance or politics though.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 1:02

When /b/ goes back to normal, it will be extra racist now that /new/ is gone.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 1:11

>>6
Don't underestimate weeaboos, moot started out as one.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 1:23

I say...a gay discussion board.../qu/ or something

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 1:33

i want xbox forum
to discus the best console in history

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 4:16

>>11

Is /v/ somehow inadequate for that?

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 9:41

>>9

Yeah, but he's even stated what >>6 said is true on many occasions...moot was always an /a/ type of weeaboo anyway, not a /jp/ type. Half the threads on /jp/ are pointless and I'm pretty sure are one anon trolling himself so he doesn't feel so ronery. If /a/ had better mods they could contain the Touhou/VN threads and just delete all the other bullshit Marysue stuff that goes on on /jp/.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 10:02

Wow sad about /new/. If moot would have just got some mods it could have been a great board. It was always fun when big news was going on like wikileaks, or the giffords was going on.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 14:59

World4ch already has a board for politics. http://dis.4chan.org/newpol/

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 15:56

>>15
World4ch is incredibly slow, and no one but neckbeards care about it. Compare any board that has an imageboard/textboard.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 16:45

>>16
There is no imageboard for news/politics on 4chan.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 17:59

Yes there is>>17
Its called b and its down

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 18:15

>>17
I know, moot should create one.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 18:27

Yeah cse you just cant go to cnn or bbc right? You gotta newfag and troll about politics...

Man y u do that?

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-18 19:39

Select the entire page and put it into word or something

Thank you for complying with our demands, moot.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-19 14:25

Yet, you're posting on it.

Plus4chan and iichan both have news boards, and are much better than old /n/ and /new/ anyway.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-19 15:32

/r9k/ was not /soc/ at all.
While I understand the reason for moot removing it I do feel it's a shame as I did enjoy it even though it was filled with women hating betas. Maybe he should have removed green text

Self-loathing /jp/ poster detected

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-20 8:40

/r9k/ was cool, back in the old days.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-20 22:55

What is this place?

Strangely I'm attracted to it.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-20 22:59

Somebody said they should implement ROBOT9000 on /b/, but instead of not allowing unoriginal posts, it would just make unoriginal posts sage posts, I thought it was an awesome idea.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-21 4:17

>>28
Not a bad idea in principle, but in application, it's shortsighted.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-21 5:37

>>25
What a joke.

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-22 14:10

>>28
One funny thing that people on /r9k/ did was make lame comments and then just add (captcha: text that fools the r9k algorithm into thinking this is original content).

/b/'s about just doing whatever. Calling people bad names, telling jokes, playing around. A lot of people don't realize that ;-;

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-22 19:44

I'm already having /new/ withdrawals. Damn you, moot.

Name: Anonymous 2011-05-08 1:10

I like /new/. No one can get use to it unless they visit the board more than once to understand the inside jokes.

Easily the most entertaining board, especially during big events.

To the poster of /new/=/int/:

There's a huge difference between politically fueled users and users open to diversity. /int/=international. /new/=news. /new/ had its own little community as well as /int/. I would support the /new/ immigration to /int/ if it weren't for the fact that /new/smen are less susceptible to diversity and would likely troll /int/ as they have done to their board. It's one of the reasons why /int/ is being heavily moderated right now.

And I don't know what's going on with /k/, but /new/ users were being redirected there like /n/ had beforehand.

The time to attack is now.
Thomas Mader, reply in order for home address, home phone number, his own sister decided to attack and hurt people that come into contact with them,

it is time to strike fear upon these people, they need to understand the concept of stirring shit,

THOMAS MADER, WENT DOWN ON HIS OWN SISTER, and finds no problem in the matter, destroy this incestious cunt.

I really liked /r9k/ in the beginning
but it got to the point that anytime I would visit it the front page was filled with threads whinning about women, threads asking how to court women, general realtionshit threads, misogyny threads, "what do femanons think of___"
seriously fuck that shit
good riddance to bad rubbish

We need the following image boards:
finance
politics
history
news

Name: Anonymous 2011-05-25 8:03

but news would just devolve into racism again. /newpol/ however is doing quite well.

Name: Anonymous 2011-05-27 16:15

news and politics are horrible ideas, 4chan moves to fast for those boards to be worthwhile.

I however, love the idea of having a board for caligula threads.

Name: Anonymous 2011-05-27 19:17

Actually /r9k/ and /new/ still exist, and they're great.

No it doesn't. Those boards would work fine

Name: Anonymous 2011-06-21 6:32

>/new/ = /int/

Only because moot never made a politics board. 99% of the shit in new/int would stay in pol if moot had the balls to make it

Don't change these.
