I agree /new/ sucked but I did like discussing politics. Can we have a /pol/ - Politics?

/r9k/ at least served as a few inches elevated from the shitstink of /b/, and I could tolerate it.
I sure as hell am not going back to the sordid den of newfaggotry for "General conversation."

This. At first I thought it should stay as a crap catcher, but then I realized that's what /a/ is for. The weeaboos at /jp/ would just go to /a/, and that shithole couldn't get any worse.
God I hate weeaboos.

I've encountered suggestions on both /b/ and /new/ for an /econ/ board. Could probably go under finance or politics though.

When /b/ goes back to normal, it will be extra racist now that /new/ is gone.

Don't underestimate weeaboos, moot started out as one.

i want xbox forum
to discus the best console in history
Yeah, but he's even stated what >>6 said is true on many occasions...moot was always an /a/ type of weeaboo anyway, not a /jp/ type. Half the threads on /jp/ are pointless and I'm pretty sure are one anon trolling himself so he doesn't feel so ronery. If /a/ had better mods they could contain the Touhou/VN threads and just delete all the other bullshit Marysue stuff that goes on on /jp/.

Wow sad about /new/. If moot would have just got some mods it could have been a great board. It was always fun when big news was going on like wikileaks, or the giffords was going on.
Plus4chan and iichan both have news boards, and are much better than old /n/ and /new/ anyway.

/r9k/ was not /soc/ at all.
While I understand the reason for moot removing it I do feel it's a shame as I did enjoy it even though it was filled with women hating betas. Maybe he should have removed green text
Somebody said they should implement ROBOT9000 on /b/, but instead of not allowing unoriginal posts, it would just make unoriginal posts sage posts, I thought it was an awesome idea.

Not a bad idea in principle, but in application, it's shortsighted.

One funny thing that people on /r9k/ did was make lame comments and then just add (captcha: text that fools the r9k algorithm into thinking this is original content).
/b/'s about just doing whatever. Calling people bad names, telling jokes, playing around. A lot of people don't realize that ;-;

I'm already having /new/ withdrawals. Damn you, moot.

I like /new/. No one can get use to it unless they visit the board more than once to understand the inside jokes.
Easily the most entertaining board, especially during big events.
To the poster of /new/=/int/:
There's a huge difference between politically fueled users and users open to diversity. /int/=international. /new/=news. /new/ had its own little community as well as /int/. I would support the /new/ immigration to /int/ if it weren't for the fact that /new/smen are less susceptible to diversity and would likely troll /int/ as they have done to their board. It's one of the reasons why /int/ is being heavily moderated right now.
And I don't know what's going on with /k/, but /new/ users were being redirected there like /n/ had beforehand.
The time to attack is now.
Thomas Mader, reply in order for home address, home phone number, his own sister decided to attack and hurt people that come into contact with them,
it is time to strike fear upon these people, they need to understand the concept of stirring shit,
THOMAS MADER, WENT DOWN ON HIS OWN SISTER, and finds no problem in the matter, destroy this incestious cunt.
I really liked /r9k/ in the beginning
but it got to the point that anytime I would visit it the front page was filled with threads whinning about women, threads asking how to court women, general realtionshit threads, misogyny threads, "what do femanons think of___"
seriously fuck that shit
good riddance to bad rubbish
