/b/ is a lot like a wheel. every few years, the newfags come in from facebook, youtube or whatever shit hole they crawl out from and see /b/tards posting 5 year old memes over and over (no original content). eventually the 'oldfags' move onto better boards which are more specific to their intrest. when they arrive they learn of the different culture. they're mocked for being /b/tards and underageb&.
meanwhile, back at /b/, the newfags (who have taken over from the oldfags) are still having "first post ending in" threads and posting :awesome: faces, which the 'new-newfags' think is the hip and cool, so they start doing it.
