Technically doesn't exist anymore, but when I go to http://boards.4chan.org/hc/ I do get a 403 forbidden page, so I guess it's still in the system. Hmm.. wonder why it's not outright deleted?

What where these boards?

I don't know what /z/ and /hc/ where for? and /fk/ is a fake board.

/z/ was a random board where one person from the userbase was selected to moderate the board. It was pretty much a whacky, random, zany board. http://sovietrussia.org/z/ continues its tradition.
/hc/ was a hardcore pornography board, it didn't receive a lot of actual posting except for endless amounts of spam, so it was canned.

For the most part, yes. Though there was a brief time where people were posting in it and goofing around.

I still have some screenshots from gets on /fk/

There's only one post left on /fk/, but you can't reply to it.  I tried replying, regaling a story that actually happened in 6th grade, but it said "This board doesn't exist!".  I wonder if they plan on doing something with the board, though.
