Pics won't expand when clicked on.

I'm using the current 4chan add-on for firefox (4chan 0.4.5.15). When I click on an image the image is removed like someone posted a message with no text or picture. Yet, when I disable the expand image option, the pic will open to a new tab fully downloaded. Apparently, while the image is being downloaded, it's not expanding like it should. Is this because of some setting with the 4chan extension, or is it more likely something has changed within the site?

The only recent change I can think of was the capchas that has to be entered in order to post. Could that change have somehow caused the images to no longer expand like they should?

Come on...I can't be the only one having this problem here. If you don't do anything and something changes...that's kind of a tip-off right there something has had to change with the site.
