How can I take screenshots of full threads?

I downloaded an addon for Firefox but whenever I take a screenshot of just the main page of any board it is like, 3.5 MB. What program can I use to take images of full threads where they won't end up being  3.5 MB?

Also, I'm new to 4chan BBS, I'm usually on the imageboards, so if this is the wrong board I'm sorry.

You could use Photoshop or a similar image manipulation program to save the image under lower quality to reduce file size, but unfortunately that has the side effect of the image looking worse overall.

Also, are you strapped for hard drive space? 3.5 MB isn't really considered a humongous file these days.

I use Screengrab. And no, I'm not worried about it taking up space on my hard drive, but whenever I try to upload it to 4chan or an image hosting site, it always doesn't let me or shrinks it down to where you can't read anything or see anything really.

Yeah, I have the same exact problem. 4chan's software has some set limit to where you can't upload an image if the dimensions of it are too large. I don't know the set value of where it is limited.

I use imageshack.us, but I have yet to upload a screen shot of a really large thread on there.

screengrab addon for failfox should set you right OP. It produces optimized .pngs of entire websites. ~38kbs in size.

That's good, but then there is the problem of the dimension of the image being too large. You can use a third-party image hosting site and link to the image from there. (imageshack, tinypic, etc.)
