/d/ is slowly becoming the new /b/

/d/ is slowly becoming the new /b/. A bunch of trolling, threads that have nothing to do with the board (/b/ crap), one pic "I'll just leave this here" threads, requesting, people who have no idea what "noko" is used for; seriously  I'd just say close the fucking board down if this is all that can be expected. If not then we need a clean up crew state.

I already checked it; two whole pages of content has been deleted. If the mod/janitor went farther than the first few pages I'm guessing six or seven pages of content would have been deleted. As I said; /d/ is becoming a lot like /b/, and it needs to stop. Also, before anyone suggests an invasion, I doubt it; this has been going on for several weeks now.

One last question; if a clean-up crew is appointed to take care of the random crap that keeps appearing, can I help out? I'm on /d/ several times a day, and can probably help trim down most of clutter that I keep coming across on a regular basis.

Not really. I'm just tired of reporting a load of crap that needs to be removed, and only %10 at best gets removed. Put simply, I'm doing the best I can, but no one is doing their part (actually removing the stuff that get's reported).

Besides...it's not about banning people (although that would help), it's about getting rid of junk that shouldn't be there in the first place. In short I'd be happy with just being a janitor. This way, since I've basically got tired of reporting stuff due to the current staff's inactivity, I can just remove it myself. Put simple it's not so much as a title/ego trip I just want to help out 'cause I'm sick of all the faggotry that's taking place.

OP hasn't noticed the new janitors and how shitty the board was before 2009. Twice I remember the moderators went AWOL for a full fucking week. 2 empty pages is a sign staff is actually doing their job.

Deleting /b/ would only cause all of the cretins, shits and lower life-forms who presently inhabit that board to spill out across the rest of 4chan and other sites in search of a new home. It really is a sphincter.
We just need some way of deterring them from acting like the drunken tourists they are, perhaps some sort of ban that quarantines them to /b/ only, but that would of course require more mods.
Alternatively, make the wordfilters and other gimmicks on the rest of 4chan so different that they dare not leave the safety of /b/.

/b/ has such a low signal-to-noise ratio that even those who enjoy the board get a bit bored of it and decide to venture out into other areas of 4chan--unfortunately plaguing said areas with /b/-imported nonsense because of the fact that that mentality has yet to leave their train of thought is one of the biggest reasons why every board feels like browsing /b/, but with a theme.
