Starting my own imageboard.

Now I have always wanted to start my small imageboard, however I have no idea how to. What do I need to download to get the software and how do I necessary install it?

I'll dissent from everyone else and recommend Kusaba.  Easy to install, easy to modify (now), easy to add another board, and some pretty useful admin features.  Of course, everyone else and their brother runs Kusaba currently.


PROTIPS:
1.  Make your own stylesheet and don't go with the defaults, unless you want to be horribly generic.
2.  Don't try to clone an existing imageboard.
3.  Don't make too many fucking boards.
4.  Change the damn front page.
5.  Don't spam your imageboad everywhere (See img.pushthenet.com)
6.  Get listed on the overchan.
