Opera: Interstitial Ads every thumbnail click

Name: Anonymous 2007-12-16 7:07

I got fed up with Firefox hogging and not releasing any ram/vm so I decided to try Opera 9.24

I get a problem with Opera. Every time I click a thumbnail in any 4chan board I get redirected to an interstitial ad, and not just the first time, but every time I click any thumbnail.

I learned that clicking the link above the thumbnail bypasses the interstitial ad, but I am still very used to clicking the thumbnails directly due to months on firefox.

What is causing Opera to get an interstitial ad every time a thumbnail is clicked, instead of just the first time?

How do I fix this in Opera?

I found if you load one ad page then refresh that page, it seems to make further thumbnail clicks go to the proper images.

I guess I could try that, but what is causing this problem with Opera? I'm sure everyone using Opera must get the same issue. I just installed with everything set at default.

Can someone port the Firefox extension to Opera?

Opera can run greasemonkey scripts and user javascripts.

Though there is something called fychan for Opera and 4chan, which is fairly decent, but its missing a quickreply.

What Opera really needs is a not4changrab type pic ripper that works automatically on 4chan threads.

Besdies that, Opera is a much better browser than Firefox.

Yeah, Safari does the same

Don't change these.
