Hey guys, I haven't been able to get on /b/ or r9k in close to 2 weeks. What's wrong? I live in the northeast USA. I heard some people in britain were having issues with some ISP filtering or whatever so that doesn't apply to me.

A detailed search of your name in quotations using Google, revealed you've made some posts on /r9k/. I agree /r9k/ is terrible with all the redundancy of relationship topics. If you avoid that sea of crap, a good thread on /r9k/ does pop up occasionally. I'll tell you, it's a hell of a lot of less effort to discover something good on /r9k/ than /b/. The board's disablement of Unicode and robot assisted filter helps cut off spam (especially AnonTalk) tremendously.

it makes sense if you think of the bag metaphorically.
AND WHY THE FUCK IS /b/ SO DAMN SLOW!?!?!?
It's like it get's slower after every DDOS attack...WTF?

Yeah, but the r9k userbase pretend to be elitist. All they do is bawww about their shitty lives. They don't want funy content.

That too. And I agree about all the "supposed" elitism that thrives on that board. The Internet in general (especially communities with names and/or pseudonyms) carries with it a lot of elitism, especially in groups or clubs that are scattered about.
As for "funny" content, to be honest I don't think I have laughed or chuckled at anything on /r9k/ or 4chan for that matter...at least not in a good while. The last thread that I remember that pulled a genuine chuckle out of me was this thread on /b/ depicting "urinating positions" with a man leaning over a toilet, which I found to be rather funny.
If and when the proposed spin-off "advice" board comes to fruition, then perhaps the forces that be will allow things to improve. I have some doubts and reservations about that of course. We'll just have to see what the man upstairs (moot) ultimately decides to do.

With /b/ it's like searching for a diamond in a huge pile of horse shit. Do you want the diamond that bad?
That's why I hang out on the text boards now. Still got a similar type of humour but without all the supposed "cancer" that makes /b/ such an awful place.

A /b/ without images is like wanking to a braile based porno!
