/e/ and /h/

What's the difference between /e/ and /h/?  Isn't "ecchi" just another word for "hentai" that came from "H-y"?  Despite being on 4chan, I'm not much of a weeaboo so don't know these things, and I don't actually visit the imageboards much (my one and only visit to /b/ was filled with rape copypasta).

"hentai" means "perverted" in Japanese

"Ecchi" is the phonetic pronunciation of the H in "hentai". As such, it has a more mild connotation. Ecchi is to softcore as hentai is to hardcore, roughly.

Don't change these.
