someone tell me why rapidshare is a better choice as a file storage site over something like megaupload?

i can download like 10 things from megaupload without problem, while i get maybe two or three things out of rapidshare until my quote is maxed out.

just seems there are better file storage websites with easier use, higher upload capacity and larger quotas than rapidshit.

It supports both. It's called /rs/ because that's what the everyone says (i.e. "zoomj rapidshare pl0x"); it's a meme.

megaupload is way more obnoxious about its download limits, has times when it's subscription only for 10 hours or so, is a bitch to anyone outside of the US, etc.
I say use mediafire, but rapidshit is pretty much a household name for 4channers, even if the file is hosted elsewhere.

all those sites are shit and the people who run them as well as their users should be clubbed to death.
