Moot and the mods don't give a fuck about 4chan mostly /b/. If they did they would try and keep control of the shit that is going on in the boards. I have left /b/ after 2 years because of the sucking and endless spamming of combos and shit goes on in /b/ which has killed it and now most of the time the other boards get spammed to. I know /b/ was never good but it was at least an ok place to go until sucking happened. In short MODS=FAGS

Yeah? So what should he do? If you banned everyone who posted all that shit, there would be fucking NO ONE LEFT. Anyone who had any creativity and made anything resembling original content left fucking years ago. I'd start by banning posters calling for raids.  The combo shit will run its course just like That Fucking Cat did -- and I think most of it in the last days was scripts posting the first image of a combo just to make everybody go crazy breaking combos that were not actually going to be posted.

But the raid shit is getting into some dangerous areas -- last night there was posting personal info on some kid in Texas, and calls to see how many /b/tards could drive by his school at the posted bus-pickup time and harass him.  There are some obvious legal dangers in allowing that, quite apart from the damage done to /b/ by allowing it to become just a raid board.

If mads are going to allow raiding posts, please get them into a /i/nvasion board where they don't spread moar cancer on /b/ -- and where you can police them if they are taking you into areas where you are creating potential legal problems...

I'd post new rules/statements on the front page specifically asking people not to act retarded if it wasn't somehow remotely funny, followed by real examples for everyone to see. You'd be amazed how self conscience and pissed people become after that. That would change the feel of 4chan tho. Wouldn't be the same.

Five years from now, there very well may not be a 4chan. It will have been brought down by harassment and copyright infringement. All it takes is a few people passionate enough about 4chan's excesses that they're willing to take moot to court. I don't know about him, but I know that I simply wouldn't put up with lawsuits. I'd ban half of the people on this board, and the other half would be 15 year olds who don't post anything new at all.

I agree that a lot of the subhumans that joined in the past few years should be banned. But of course that would poison the atmosphere. It would take away the perceived anarchy on 4chan.

Sites like 4chan are really funny only until they become too popular. Nothing that can be done there.
